This class is so important to develop your foundations for all tumbling skills! Spaces are limited! Working on Skills: Forward rolls Backward rolls Cartwheels Roundoffs Hurdles Working on Shapes: Handstands Bridges Splits Candlesticks Lunge Hollow T-Shape This class is perfect to perfect your understanding of each skill and how it relates to the progression of skills that follow. For example! A great handstand is important for proper cartwheels, walkovers, etc. A proper handstand means a lunge at beginning and end to demonstrate body control, and within the handstand the athlete's feet are together, arms are by their ears, and their head is in a neutral position, and the handstand can be held for at least one controlled second (we will develop the endurance of the handstand hold in Level 1 Tumbling). Allow us to focus on these types of skills in this class, to improve your athlete's body control with all foundational skills! WHICH CLASS SHOULD I CHOOSE? Two different classes can be taken at the same time to enhance the learning for the athlete. If the athlete can reach the handstand and bridge shapes, they will benefit from Foundations and they may also excel in Level 1. These classes complement each other!
